Swimming is not just an individual sport it is in fact the largest mass participation sport in the world.
The Group and Team Hawkes was set up as a bonding area. Somewhere for program members to hang out. To share their experiences and to offer support to one another. Being “part of” something unique, something inclusive. Each and every swimmer is different and the variety of ages and abilities is what keeps it fresh. Team members ages range from 14 through to 62. Heads up breskrokers, channel crossers and competing Ironmen. Each and everybody plays a vital role in the continuity of the group and everyone has something to offer the newcomer.
