Breathing Workshop

Breathing or just being comfortable with your head in the water is beneficial for life long participation in water activities. However not being taught how to breathe correctly and manage yourself under water can be one of the biggest barriers to progression.

This 75 minute workshop is solely devoted to teaching you how to breathe easily and effectively.

The art of breathing when swimming is the area that holds most fear. Lots of people panic when their face is in the water, and this feeling can lead to anxiety when you’re new to the sport.

You will learn how to relax and breathe comfortably and efficiently ensuring a regular flow of oxygen and reduce the stresses associated with breathing.

You will develop a strong foundation, gaining invaluable knowledge and the skills with which to approach the next phase of your open water journey.

This workshop is for you if;

  • You’re getting frustrated with lack of progress
  • You’re fearful of falling off your SUP.
  • A sore back is shortening your time in the water
  • You become worn out in minutes when all you want is just to swim and swim with comfort and relaxation
  • You want to enjoy the freedom to just “jump in” for fun without getting a nose full
  • You want to transition from “heads up” to “heads in” breaststroke
  • You are a dipper or bobber keen to try something different
  • You want to enjoy the holiday pool and also want to see what’s below the surface
  • You want to level up in the pool or progress towards an efficient front crawl
  • You want to see what’s below the waves as well as on top
  • You’ve swam through the winter and want to smash into 2021
  • You want to do away with floundering or panic attacks

Take your swimming and general enjoyment of the water to the next level and don’t let the fear of the unknown be a barrier to progression. Whatever your goals this workshop is the springboard for you.

This opportunity is open to wetsuit and non wetsuit wearers and caters for anyone who has had at least some experience in open water. The workshop is designed for those new to the sport or looking to advance.

We will be getting wet so please bring appropriate clothing for before during and after. (Goggles are recommended but not essential)
